Meusydd, pronounced 'Mayseethe' is welsh for 'fields' and nestles in the village of Llanbedrgoch on the Isle of Ynys Mon. Being 'The Mother of Wales' and the last stronghold of the druids, she is steeped in ancient history, mythology and wild natural beauty.
The Snowdon Mountain Range (Eryri) stand before the island, shimmering veins of milky quartz.
Golden beaches, sand dunes, rocks and forest hug the rugged coastline. A precious isle to come and visit for work, rest and play.
Set in 11 acres and south facing, residents are establishing a number of different areas with wildlife and conservation in mind. So far a 'Crescent Woodland' surrounding a wild flower filled wetland marsh area has been created, a small coppice woodland, a few acres for home growing produce and an orchard.
There is a small stream that issues from the land with a well and spring. Beautiful walks through old drover ways taking the form of magical tree tunnels, leading to sites of specific scientific interest (SSI and SSSI). It has been calculated that the hedgerows are an ancient 800 years old with an abundance of food and medicine for wildlife and man. All of which encompass breath taking panoramic mountain views, located within a few minutes drive from the coastline and nearby towns. Also on a bus route for non-drivers.
